IMPROVE THE WAY YOU COOK
March! The first month of spring, the month during which we wear white and red bracelets so that the sun does not burn us – the month when the almond trees and orange trees start to blossom.
While strolling through nature, we can enjoy the spring aromas, we’ll place our basket filled with this month’s fresh vegetables – rocket: it might be a bit bitter at times, but it is rich in vitamins and antioxidants and we love it in our salad, along with tomatoes, walnuts and graviera cheese.
Peas will be a components of all of our olive oil-rich meals, with artichokes, carrots and a piece of feta cheese on the plate, as well as, freshly baked bread. We can’t forget radishes, which are also full of nutritional ingredients, making them absolutely necessary to our diet.
March is known as a month that can sometimes be very cold, with increased rainfall. March, also known as the «Planter» because it is the ideal period to plant trees, may be famous for unstable weather conditions, however we are going to celebrate spring’s arrival by cooking and eating in the yard.
Let’s see what March has in store for us regarding fruits and vegetables; Which are still at our local grocers’ stands and which will be bidding us farewell for the season:
