Chicken with apples and wine
Diced chicken and apples, quenched with wine, and sautéed onion. This recipe is elegant and comes from Nafpaktos!

INGREDIENTS

4 chicken breasts 2 green apples 1 sweet red pepper (Florina pepper) 2 garlic cloves 1 onion ½ cup Horio PDO Kalamata olive oil ½ cup white wine juice of 1 lemon some oregano salt and pepper

DIRECTIONS

  1. Rinse and cut the apples into cubes. Put them in a bowl and pour over the lemon juice so as not to blacken.
  2. Cut the peppers into strips.
  3. Rinse the chicken breasts thoroughly and cut them into big cubes.
  4. Peel and chop the onion and the garlic.
  5. Put Horio PDO Kalamata olive oil in the pot and sauté the onion and the garlic in medium heat until golden.
  6. Sauté the chicken cubes until they turn golden brown and pour in the wine.
  7. Sprinkle the chicken with oregano, salt, and pepper and stir slightly.
  8. Add the apple, the pepper, and some water and stir again.
  9. The food will be ready in about 40 minutes.
